Wards - "Home Away From Home"

We cater to needs of our customers, both adults and children, offering from general wards (4 bedded – 5 bedded rooms), 2 bedded rooms, Single rooms and Suites. We have nature in mind with an indoor garden on our 2nd floor, New Wing whereby patients and their families can relax, exercise and enjoy the open atmosphere. All our rooms are air conditioned with ensuites, each bed is equipped with a nurse call bell which will allow you to call for attention at any time. There will be a care giver closeby to attend to all your needs; reading lights and wall mount medical gas in case of emergency. Public telephones for both STD/IDD are available outside each floor landing.

Our 2 bedded and Single Rooms have electrically operated self-adjustable beds and television, while the single rooms and suites have telephone facilities and a fridge and complimentary newspaper daily.

We have 20 bedded special care unit, (10 bedded CCU/HDU and a 10 bedded ICU) manned by a team of qualified trained nurses for patients requiring intensive and close monitoring when needed.

Our children’s ward provides an “at home” feeling for parents and off spring. The ward has books and toys and a children’s playground. Occasionally we have our “baby dinosaurs” Lohgi to entertain and cheer up the children.






Admission

On Arrival
You will be met by our receptionist who will guide you through the formalities of registration and direct you to the Specialist you wish to consult or for admission to the wards. For certain cases, deposit may be required.

Once you have registered, you will be given an Outpatient Appointment Card and a Hospital Idenfication Card. Please keep and produce these cards for your subsequent visits. Individual assistance is also available from the Customer Service Officer.

Unless in cases of emergencies, all patients are preadmitted by their doctor through prior appointment pending availability of rooms. All the rooms are air-conditioned with attached bathrooms and nurses call buttons.

What to Bring

Patients are requested to bring the following on admission:

 - pyjamas, nightwear / dressing gown and slippers
 - a change of clothes
 - towels, toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, soap and other toiletries.

Please send personal clothing home for laundering. In addition to the toilet requisites above, maternity and gynaecological patients are requested to bring the following:

 - Sanitary towels (2 boxes) and sanitary belt if required  
 - Maternity bra
 - Baby's vest, baby wrapper and milk bottle in the day of discharge (if travelling long distance)

What not to bring

For security reasons, patients are advised not to keep any valuables e.g. jewellery or handphones with them in the hospital to avoid any loss or theft. The centre will not be responsible for any losses.

Lodgers (Single and Double Rooms Only)

Relatives or parents of children who wish to stay with patient must make prior arrangement and obtain permission from the Sister or Staff Nurse in charge.

Only one lodger is allowed for each patient. A nominal fee will be levied.

Meals are not included. Deck chairs will only be provided at night. Only female lodgers are allowed to stay with female patients with the exception of single rooms.

Discharge Procedure

Patients are kindly advised to check out before 12:00 noon on the day of discharge. However, an additional half-day charge (inclusive of congee for lunch, if required) will be levied on patients who request to be discharged after 12:00 noon and before 5:00 pm. The follow-up appointment will be made by the Ward Receptionist.

Your bill can be settled in the Finance Department (In-patient Cashier) from 11:00 am onwards.

Please collect your medication (if any) from the Pharmacy.

Discharge arrangement can be requested through our Customer Service Officer.

Services

Renal Dialysis Unit

We also provide a range of dialysis treatment to patients with acute or end-stage renal failure.

Visiting Hours

The visiting hour is as follows:

12:00 noon to 2:00 pm
5:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
For reasons of your health and that of other patients, not more that two visitors are permitted to be by the patient's bedside at any one time in order to allow the patient proper rest and ensure security at night.

Call Bell Service

For emergencies and patients' convenience, a nurse's call bell is available by your bedside as well as in the toilet.The call services is free of charge.

The department is open 24 hours to provide immediate services. Our Specialists are always on call.

Food Services (Halal)

For in-patient, we serve breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and nightcap. Food preparation is supervised by our Dietitian. Our Dietitian also provides Out-Patient Dietetic Counselling.

Our Centre's Cafeteria (Halal) caters Muslim, Chinese and European food. It is open to visitors from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm daily.

Apart from a large car-park space located across the hospital, the hospital also has a mini mart, retail pharmacy and cafe located at the ground floor for your convenience.
